Slog Shout Outs...

So, I had my camera out at Chuck and Jackies, and Paigie made the comment that she never makes the slog... Sometimes you might not want what ya wish for... LOL.:)

Now, that's more like it- beautiful Paigie K.:)

Family Cookouts

We got home from the lake and headed straight to Chuck and Jackie's house for a cookout where we stuffed our face and had a great time with family!

Happy Birthday Jack!

Can you tell who we hang out with alllll the time? Yep, the Hayes clan... and Jack and Addie share a birthday. The kids love each other and had a great time celebrating Jack's birthday at Chuck-E-Cheese. Oh- and a birthday party DURING THE WEEK at Chuck-E-Cheese is actually quite enjoyable!

Memorial Day Fun!

We made a brief trip to Smith Mountain Lake to celebrate Memorial Day! We wish we could have stayed longer, but the trip was sooo worth it! Gram and Pop Pop surprised the kids with new toys- a slide on the dock, water gun innertubes, mommy with a new water chair, and lots of other toys! We enjoyed great food and great famiy fun. The kids loved making fruit skewers, and Uncle E joined us for a cookout where Joanie made the best banana pudding we've ever had- and that's our mom's go-to dessert! Ha! We enjoyed the jet-ski, watching Averey wakeboard, and seeing Pop Pop catch a fish...I would be quite content living on the dock all summer... so we hope to make it back soon!

Come On Vamenos!

We had a great birthday party for Addison- complete with seventeen of her closest friends and besties. I actually gave in and let her have a character themed Dora party- complete with Dora backpacks and an adventure... I'd love to share pictures with you, but we have none!!! It makes me soooo sad- but we do have it all on video tape so that Addie can watch it when she's older.

I might have had pictures, but it was like 100 degrees and Addie has an older brother that can't seem to take it when the attention is all on her. These are pictures of Chris at Addie's birthday party last year... Imagine this times ten. I'm not kidding. He had a temper tantrum the entire time and was off his rocker. If I was a spanker, the child would have been beat! He was so bad that Brendan and I didn't even know how to deal with him because we didn't want to miss out on Addie's special day- so we were the worst parents ever and just let our kid act out. Let's just say he went to bed early with the silent treatment because I didn't want to say things I'd regret!!!

Next year, I will make sure to capture pictures! Oh, and one thing I learned is that I SUCK at giving birthday presents. For some reason I thought that all the other mom's are like me and out buying stuff at the last minute. Nope- everyone came with the sweetest presents perfect for Addie and they were all in bags with Dora cards and wrapping paper. I usually never even get a card. I definitely need to step up my game and not be the slacker mom.

For those of you that were able to make it, thanks for making Addie's day... and thanks for putting up with our crazy family and for being around so that Chris is still alive! Love you!

Happy Happy Birthday Sweet Addie Tay!

Addie Tay~

I can't believe you are already three years old! It seems like you've been here with us forever, but at the same time, I'm not ready for you to grow up. You are such a sweet soul and mean the world to us. You are our little darling and I wish you could stay a baby forever. We know you have to grow up, and we got you your first car for your birthday... and you are already such a girl- you were more excited about the phone! On the night of your birthday, you wanted to sleep in a crib. I gladly set up the pack-n-play just so I could "play" baby with you. I'll take every second I can get. Of course, you wanted nothing to do with it the next day.

We love you with all of our hearts! Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
xoxo

Preschool Graduation

I knew it was going to be a tough day when I cried dropping Chris off at school. Chris "graduated" from preschool this week, and I really think it was harder on the parents than it was on the kids! Most of the class has been together for the past two years and both the kids and the moms have grown close. I can't believe it's come to an end! They had a little graduation ceremony that Nona, Papa, Addie, Brendan, and I were able to attend. I couldn't believe it- My Christopher actually looked nervous!

Look how much taller he is- that's a classmate in front of him!

One of Chris's favorite girlfriends!

Chris's best friend- and Star Wars lover, Caleb

Chris's other best buddy from our old neighborhood Stratford- Jason

Summertime...

And the living is easy! I really can't complain about my days... the hardest part is trying to figure out what park to spend my afternoon at until pools open during the day when school is out! We're having a great time- We ventured down to Sterling Community Center to try out a "different" park and the kids loved it... We did too, except for the gnats... so we made it a two park day.:)

When Daddies are busy...

Mama's find a way to kill Saturday afternoon... We met up with the Hayes clan and the kids played forever at Claude Moore. They had so much fun and are more than excited for pool season!
