Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny made a stop at our house... and the Easter Bunny cut way back this year. In previous years, it was like Christmas and the kids got tons... We decided we're just setting ourselves up for failure and for spoiled kids, so this year, they each got one thing and some candy in their basket... And guess what- They didn't even notice a difference. In fact, I think they were more excited about what they got! They played with their new things today and then we went to church... and it felt like a much more special Easter.:)

You can tell Addie was woken up by an excited brother at the crack of dawn- look how tired she looks!

I love this picture of B and the kids.:)

The Easter Bunny had put a couple plastic eggs in the kids's baskets. Addie opened one up and said, "Oh man, No stuff." Ha! They were empty, and she was disappointed!

Benadryll to the rescue!

O.k... so we're definitely going to have to get Chris tested for allergies. We know that he has reactions to cats and dogs... and we're going to add horses into the mix. We took the kids to see the the horses in my parent's field... and on the walk home, we noticed Chris was acting funny... and started getting hives! Luckily Brendan ran to the store and got Benadryll and all was well!

I guess Mommy better get better at taking care of the fish because that might be all we ever have as a pet. Mommy forgot to feed the fish this week, and if we're not able to nurse it back to health, we might be buying a new one before the kid's notice.:( Mommy has had a bad week with animals. Chris let Daddy know that, "Mommy hit a bird with the car. The feathers went flying everywhere. But she just shocked it." At least that's what I hope and told the kids.:(

Best Cousins

Chris, Addie, Mage, and Jack could play for hours together- and they get along so well. We let them run wild at my parents house on Saturday, and then we picked a random neighborhood and took over their park!!! Addie and Jack couldn't get enough of the swing and Mage and Chris had so much fun climbing everything!

Easter Eggs!!!

Todd and Sarah had us over for dinner and for our Annual Easter Egg Dyeing Party! The kids had fun playing out back and then Uncle Dave took charge and let the kids dye their Easter eggs. They did a great job, and let's just say that Blue was definitely the favorite color.:)

Nice beer Todd!

We're Baaaaacccckkkkk!!!!

Wooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooo!!!! Did you hear me screaming with joy this week? The weather was sooooo beautiful and I feel like we're back in the swing of things! We had such a fun week- playdates at the park with friends, picnics, riding bikes, we have returned to normalcy and I LOVE it!!!

We went to Frying Pan Park with some friends and spent all afternoon! The kids loved the tractor ride, and they LOVED milking a cow! Yep! Both kids got to milk a real cow. Every day at 4:00, it's open to the public and anyone can try it! It was such a fun day!

Hippy Mama

We had no plans today and I was home with the kids... I can't take playing inside all day, so I found a local park with trails down by the river. I packed a backpack and the kids and I set out on an adventure! We went hiking, played by the river, found worms, hunted for frogs, and then headed to the park. Todd, Sarah, and the boys ended up joining us and we stayed all evening! It was sooo much fun...

Todd wants you all to know that he beat me in a running race. Well, he did more than beat me- he killed me. I think this is the first time he has ever beaten me in anything. Oh, and I beat Sarah... HA! But she is claiming that she sprained her ankle... I don't buy it.:) Yes, the adults were participating in games, too.

Nice faces you guys... Addie is looking at ya'll like you are CRAZY!

Swim Meet

Chris had a swim meet this weekend at George Mason University! I was NOT prepared for this one... It wasn't a small meet like normal- There were about six teams. When we got there, I had to send Chris through a door and say good-bye- Parents were not allowed on the pool deck! I had to watch from up in the stands and he was on his own. I was so nervous! It didn't seem to faze Chris at all- He even got up on the real starter's block and dove right in! He's the third from the left!
