I woke up, showered, and even looked presentable. I showed up to the special Mother's Day Tea and beamed with pride. Addie performed so cute- She knew every song and let's just say she had the lead. She sang louder than anyone and really stood out. Ha! I was the "good" mom that remembered my camera and even for a splitting second felt like I was that mom who had it all together. Probably because I had attended this same exact tea two years ago with Chris, so I knew what was going to happen.
And then, I turned on my camera and saw the words, "NO CARD." FAIL. Oops- I can't have it all together. No memory card-ugh!!!
It's o.k. though- Addie and I had a fabulous day and made sure to drink in true Nona style with our pinkies in the air.:)
In other news, we've been making great strides. At the ripe age of 6 1/2 Chris has started wiping his own butt- just this week for the first time ever. Woo Hoo! Maybe now he can take a crap at school. Addie can go down a fireman's pole and ride a razor scooter like an 8-year old. The time is going by way too fast!

They did it!
Let me start off by saying... I never in a million years thought that Brendan's cousin Hank would get married. He just didn't seem like the settling down kind... until Melanie entered the picture.:) After years of me nagging him, I can't do it anymore- He's hitched!
I've been to a lot of weddings, but this one really was different- filled with special touches that made it memorable...
It started on a a beautiful, crisp, spring day on a Mississipi river boat.
The boat had beautiful woodwork on the inside, and I couldn't help but notice the soundtrack from the movie Titanic playing as we boarded.:) Melanie looked absolutely gorgeous!
It couldn't have been more appropriate... the boat was called the River Queen- and it was the weekend of the royal wedding.:)
Another example of how I know quiet Hank is whipped and in love. He danced. To Thriller. In the middle of their first dance, the record scratched. Melanie looked pissed and I started to worry. And then they busted out to the Thriller dance. Priceless. I hope someone you tubes it.:)
Awww... mother of the bride dance. I will lose it the day I have to do this with my Christopher. So proud...
And I missed taking a picture, but Susan, Hank's sister roasted him. Ha! I don't have a picture of Susan from the wedding- but there is one of her at the beach with us. Brendan has some on his phone of Chris and Addie wrestling with her- they had a blast and now are obesessed with both of the Bauer kids.
After a eating a delicious cake, we finished sailing through the canal and saw some beautiful homes.
One of the best parts of the wedding was that it had built in entertainment. Addie made friends with Melanie's neice, Charlotte...
And Brendan and I actually got to sit at an adult table and really enjoy our meal. At first I was thinking- Are they crazy??? But there was a kids table with older kids that watched Chris and Addie. Addie fell in love with Abby and both kids actually behaved and we didn't even have to check on them. It was the fabulous. If we are attending your wedding in the future, we really liked this idea. Ha!
Thanks Hank and Melane for hosting an awesome weekend. It was definitely a weekend where love was in the air.:)
Destination Wedding!!!
We've had this wedding marked on our calendar forever. Chris was so excited to get to go on a cruise, and I just thought this wedding was in New Jersey at some random body of water or something. We were about a mile from our hotel when I started noticing Italien Jersey places... Like Frankies, Joey Leones, etc... and when we arrived at our hotel, I was told the beach was only a block away... And it then dawned on me- we were at the Jersey shore! The weekend was so much fun- everyone from the wedding stayed in the same hotel, we walked to the beach and even the boardwalk where the kids blew threw $20 in a hot second...

Speaking of the Jersey Shore... I'm almost quite certain Snooki and pals had been right where we walked...

You Laugh...
You guys laugh... or just think my b-f-f and I are plain crazy with what we spend on our children's clothes. Well, Ashley and I have had a little business on-line. Ya see, we buy clothes, let our children wear them, and then sell them on e-bay. We have over 112 positive feedbacks within the last year and many are for sales that had tons of outfits in it... and we've had way more sales that that. Sure, we drop a lot on shopping, but you can't beat this:
Buy a few outfits from a company that sells well..., have your daughter wear them for an entire winter, list them as a buy it now on e-bay, and within ten minutes have this one auction sell... for $229.99 plus money for shipping. Ching, Ching. I priced it way too low and could have gotten more if I did them individually, but I only have to make one package up for this to go to one person... Not bad for a nights work? :)

Family Tradition
We had beautiful weather for a beautiful Easter. We spent it with our family and ate from about 10-6pm nonstop. It was glorious.
Feeling the Bumps...

They have a date!!! Woo Hoo!

I think J.D. and Butt-Butt will have good luck- Our anniversery is 6/3... and there's will be the same plus a zero... 6/30.:)

I think Chris has Chuck's trick down... he found the missing egg with no problems.

So, Lauren had a new trick... But Addie spotted the egg right away.:)

Once again, we forgot our Easter baskets!!!

Bump to Bump. It's a boy, It's a girl!

The glue that holds us all together, our everything!

Mini-Me

Sweet Cousins

And to make it extra special day- Uncle Sean was on a layover at Dulles... and he got to have brunch with us and see the kids! Wiss miss you Uncle Sean!
