Smore's Anyone?

Since Brendan and I have decided that this is going to be where we raise our kiddos, we took on a big project and added a deck and patio... Brendan did all the landscaping himself- and he did a great job!!! We can't recommend our neighbor's company Builder's Fence Company enough- They were amazing and went above and beyond. Now, come on over y'all... We can afford the $1.29 bag of marshmallows and a night in... and that's about it for a long while.:) Merry Christmas to us and every other holiday for a long time... but it's so worth it- we love it!!!:)

Gram to the rescue...

We are so lucky... What other Gram would drive four hours so we don't have to get a babysitter while we go to a wedding? She baked, played with the kids, and spoiled us... Can't thank her enough. We've decided that our next month's project is to turn the upstairs toy room into an actual guest room.:)


Oh- and do you notice Christopher's hair??? Daddy took him and Mommy had a moment of weakness over the phone and said, "Let Chris get whatever haircut he wants." Daddy did veto the mohawk... but he came home with a flattop.:) I love longer hair on little boys- but with his teeth coming in and short hair, you can't help but want to squeeze this little boy.:) Oh- and Chris continues to do great in school... but I think he has a crush on the school nurse. He's already been to the clinic three times... this last time, he came home with a note from the nurse that said "Complained of sore throat. Throat looked fine and had no problem eating tacos and ice cream at lunch." HA!!!

Sweet Add

Peace, Love, and Preschool.:) She's turning into such a big girl. She works so hard at school and likes to be given "homework" while Chris does his... Such an easy child... I'm sooo dreading the teenage years because she is just too easy.

Inseperable

Chris and Addie are still inseperable... Eventhough Chris has started calling Addie annoying.:) They've been sleeping together and Addie even wakes up at the crack of dawn so she can eat with brother... She MUST love him- because she's not a morning gal. They know they aren't allowed to eat in the family room- and I try to get them to eat at the island- but this is how they prefer to do it... Some things just aren't worth fighting over.:) Notice Addie is still sporting Chris's hand me down Star Wars pajamas and she thinks she's a jedi. The kids crack me up- They like sleeping in fleece pajamas year round- even on 100 degree days during the summer. Crazy!

Afterschool Activities

We're keeping busy with football and softball after school... but with all the rain, it was nice to fit in some after school playdates... So sweet.:)

Fashionista

Just like I made a deal with Chris- he has to wear so many collared shirts a week- I made a deal with Addison. On Wednesdays, she can pick out her outfit. I thought for sure she'd want to go the jean route since she's such a tomboy, but today she put this whole ensemble together and I was quite impressed. She even thought to do knee socks, a headband, and glasses. Don't worry- they're Nona's glasses and the lenses are gone... and thank goodness she ditched them before going into class... but she did walk proudly into school with them on- HA! She's a character!
