Memorial Day 2011
Good food, family, friends, weather, warm water, jet-ski's, slides, boat rides- we couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Blessed.:)

The Birthday That Never Ends
Addie's birthday kept on going all weekend. On Saturday, Joanie once again surprised Addie with a Barbie cake and we had an all out cookout with my parents and Todd, Sarah, and the boys at Gram and Pop Pop's house. The kids loved hanging out, swimming, jumping off the dock, and celebrating. They loved it so much that the next day, Mage had to have his own party- complete with gifts for everyone, swimming, and hot dogs on the dock. :)

All I want for Christmas...
Chris is growing up way too fast!!! He lost one front tooth last week and the Tooth Fairy paid him in change (it might just have been change from Jackie's Easter Egg hunt- but shhhhhh- we won't tell)... and Chris was so excited to take it to the coin machine and go shopping with the money he had saved! He had saved over $15 in change, and when we went to Target, I realized he's older- He picked out a real movie- Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
We also borrowed a friend's movie- Just Bieber Never Say Never and both I and the kids loved it. Chris was so excited when it showed Jaden Smith (Will Smith's son) from the new Karate Kid. Now that he can read, he saw that his last name is Smith and was so happy- He said, "Mommy- we're Smith's too- We're related to the Karate kid!" Ha!
He is excited we are registering him for football this fall and summer swim team is in full swing. Chris is just weeks away from being able to say he's a first-grader and it's starting to show. He learns way too much on the afternoon bus ride- so I can only imagine what next year will bring- He came home and started telling Brendan and I a joke, "There was a Russian, a Mexican, and an American flying in a plane over the Atlantic Ocean...." I'll stop before it gets worse- but I couldn't believe my little boy was telling that kind of joke! Last week he got to practice being in first grade and loved eating lunch at school. I never thought I'd say it- but I'm looking forward to school being out so I can hang with my son all day long before he gets any more grown up.:)

Chris also lost his other front tooth while we were at the lake- when he was in the lake!!! He wanted this picture taken and he said to trick you guys that he got bitten by a shark... Ohhhh... scarey.:) How cute is he without his front teeth? I love it!!!

Our Little Family...
With Brendan in training and working so much lately, we cherish the moments that we are all together. And if you are waiting on a thank you, phone call, e-mail, or anything from me- I'm so sorry I'm behind! Gramma Kathy- of course showered Addie- and Aunt Paula and Uncle Lou, and Aunt Denise and Uncle Bruce- we are so thankful for the magazines. I love them now more than ever because Addie takes them to swim team and does the activities while watching brother. Hopefully our routine will return to normalcy sooner rather than later! And Gi Gi- we will call you tomorrow- every time I get a moment's peace, I realize it's too late to call! We love you all!!!

Happy Birthday Tay-Tay!
Hot Tail
Addie's 4!!!
Excuse the bed head... Then entire family woke up to give Addie her new present- a new big girl bike- she had outgrown her other one! She loved it... and Chris was so cute talking in a sweet voice showing her everything about it. The two of them just are so in love with each other- Notice Addie had to wear his Jedi jammie bottoms.:)

Addie also wanted the American Girl doll bitty twins. My mom and I had planned on taking her to Tyson's to the new AG store and letting her pick them out- but I had gotten things wrong and it doesn't open until June 19th. Addie is so easygoing- She went for a trip to the mall for crocs and pool toys instead... and I'm thinking the twins will be a great present from Santa- since she doesn't want for anything and didn't even get upset about not getting them.:)
